Later today, Education Sector hosts a panel discussion on “Getting to 2014: The Choices and Challenges Ahead.” Panelists, including Michael Cohen of Achieve; Idaho Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Luna; Allan R. Odden from University of Wisconsin-Madison and CPRE; Robin Steans of Advance Illinois; and Joel Vargas from Jobs for the Future, will be discussing a number of dilemmas related to implementing education reform policies such as new Common Core standards, new assessments, new accountability systems, new teacher evaluations, new data systems, and for some states, Race to the Top.
If you can’t make it in person (though we hope you can!), be sure to tune into our live webcast beginning at 2:00 p.m. (EST). We’ll also be live-tweeting using the hash tag #GettingTo2014 and occasionally live-blogging here throughout the event.
