If you can’t get enough of the L.A. Times‘ value-added story, check out this interview with the authors and editor hosted by the Education Writers Association. Interesting fact: according to this interview, the District of Columbia bases 50% of a teacher’s evaluation on value-added scores if a teacher can be linked to at least 15 students. The Times reporters only identified teachers that could be linked to at least 60 students.
